An actuating and operating noise is audible when steering to the left and/or right:

1. Scraping (see attachment 001)

2. Knocking noise when rapidly reversing steering direction (see attachment 002)

The acoustic behavior of the steering is subject to a certain amount of variation due to manufacturing variations. However, this has no effect whatsoever on the functioning and reliability of the steering system.

Compare the actuation noise of the affected vehicle with the attached sound recording.

As long as the actuation noise does not significantly exceed the level of the reference steering system in the video, the case will not be accepted as a complaint. This is the approved series production configuration.

In this case, it is not permissible to replace any parts.
