投诉

1. In XENTRY, the message "MBUX multimedia system control unit is defective (hard drive, internal fault)" appears

Note: A value greater than "0" is usually shown in the MBUX control unit log, under Memory (USB storage device/hard drive), HDD smart-data and either "ReallocatedSectorsID05" or "PendingSectorsIDC5" (see Attachment).

Note: The display of free memory space as "not OK" 0.00 MB is not an indication that the hard drive should be replaced if other HDD smart data is displayed!

原因

Defect of internal hard drive.

补救

Update software of MBUX multimedia system.

If an update is not possible, or the problem remains after the update, continue with the next steps.

Replacement of internal hard drive.

The hard drive is available separately as a replacement part in various versions (see parts note).

Procedure: The hard drive is replaced with the MBUX multimedia system (A26/17) removed. When doing so, observe the ESD regulations (see WIS reference AH54.00-P-0001-01A).

The replacement procedure is described in AR82.85-P-1102A.

After replacing the hard drive, follow the startup instructions in XENTRY Diagnosis (teach-in processes).

Note: Check whether any external influences such as fluids could have caused the defect.
