A software error means that the system time for the HERMES module (N112/9) is set either to a time in the future.(by more than 3 minutes) or to a time in the past (by more than 10 minutes)

Note: The system time (UTC time) can also be read out in the HERMES control unit log under "GPS data" and compared against the XENTRY time (local time) (see example in attachment).

Reset HERMES system time using XENTRY Diagnostics (see attachment).

1.) Start diagnosis N112/9 - Control unit for telematics services (HERMES)

2.) Open "Adaptations" menu.

3.) Select "Teach-in processes" menu.

4.) Run "Reset system time" process.

After this, lock the vehicle for 5 minutes (bus idle) and then take a test drive in a region with good GPS/GSM reception for 5-10 minutes.

If the problem persists after several hours have passed, please send us feedback in a TIPS case module.

In this instance please attach an up-to-date HERMES control unit log.
