• Tools
1) Multimeter
2) Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment (Oscilloscope)
3)  Gloves, Safety goggles, Safety shoes, etc, PPE
• Diagnostic Procedure
1) Check fuse.
 YESGO TO 2).
 NO Replace the fuse after repairing the affect circuit.
2) Configure the HVAC Control Module using the Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
 YES Inspection end.
 NO GO TO 3).
3) Check blower circuits (see TOPIx Electrical Information – Electrical Wiring Diagrams).
 Blower control module power and ground circuit.
 Blower control module LIN circuit.
 Blower control module internal failure.
 Circuit between front blower motor and front blower motor control unit.
 Front blower motor.
4) Blower fan obstructed of seized
①If blower fan obstructed of seized, no matter what the blower gear is, the blower control module will try to start the blower motor in the first 2S. The blower voltage is around 2.8v and the current is around 29A.
②If it doesn’t start up in 2s, the blower control module will protect it, and the blower voltage and current will be reduced to 0.
③After 8s, blower control module tries to start the blower again and repeats cycle ①② for 10 times. If it still can’t be started, blower control module will not send restart instructions and the whole process will run about 100s.
NOTE: The blower voltage is continuously monitored around 100s. If blower voltage presents periodic changes above, replace the blower motor module. Please do not replace the Blower Motor or related components unless otherwise directed by Jaguar Land Rover.
5) Replace the blower motor (see TOPIx workshop manual section: 412-01 Climate Control - Removal and Installation – Blower Motor).
